FAQs

Do you use Pinhole Cameras?

Our trading name indicates a photographic link, but in fact we use high-end professional cameras and equipment for all our photography and image processing solutions

Where are you located?

We are lucky enough to live in rural Worcestershire close to the The Cotswolds, Solihull, Stratford on Avon, Bristol and Birmingham but we travel throughout the UK and Overseas. Travel over a certain distance will involve additional time and possibly accommodation costs.

Why would we need two photographers?

We work as a team covering all aspects of an event.

At a wedding, for example, one of us can cover the entrance into the Church or use a different vantage point as the other covers walking up the aisle. There are some of the really special moments that otherwise might be missed. There is so much happening at an event and you only have one opportunity to capture the moment.

By combining our photography with one of our stylish photobooths you can achieve a more cost-effective solution and avoid having separate suppliers.

What do your prices include?

Our innovative free-standing photobooths include not only the usual photo and print functions but also include social media integration as standard.  Let your guests share and print their own smartphone photos too! On our systems, guests can preview their pose and their photos on the 21" touchscreens before printing.

See our pricing page for more details.  Much of what we do is bespoke so contact us with a brief outline of your ideas. We can then prepare an individualised quotation for you.

Can you tell me more about the Pinhole Pod?

The Pod is a self-contained unit requiring a standard power socket within 10 metres distance. The other requirements are space (3m x 2m for comfortable operation of all the features). It is 1.75m high.

Please allow two hours for delivery and set-up, as access can sometimes be an issue, although one hour is often sufficient. If we are also doing your photography, access to the venue in advance will be required.

The pod is only suitable for indoor use, or under cover in a marquee, for example.

I've seen the Video on the Photo Cart and am interested but what does the venue need to have? And how much time do you need to setup?

The Photo Cart needs a power socket within 10 metres distance of where it will be set up. We require space for the Photo Cart and enough room for guests to operate it - the minimum recommended is 3.5 metres x 2.5 metres. If space is a constraint the Pod might be a suitable alternative.

We provide our own mobile wifi to  enable the collection and download of Twitter and Instagram Photos, and for guests to send their photos by e-mail. This requires a 3G/4G signal at the venue.  Alternatively the venue wifi can be used, so long as it permits access to social media sites.

If a suitable network is not available, we will be unable to collect social media posts.  However, any e-mails of photobooth photos will be queued emails for sending later.

We would recommend that we have access two hours before the event to allow for setup and testing.

What is documentary or "reportage" photography?

This is a style of photography that aims to capture the essence of the event. Generally, the photos we take at an event are unposed.  If you would like some posed photos we are happy to do them, but recommend that you keep these to a minimum.

Many clients now much prefer the documentary images that we take, which are more likely to capture the personality of your guests and evoke your memories of the event long into the future.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, of course.  We have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity cover.  And we are also registered under the Data Protection Act so you can be confident about any personal data we need to keep about you.

What happens if we book and then can't use your services?

When you make a booking and pay for our services, we reserve the date for you.   Any payments you have made are non-refundable as we have committed to you for that day and time, and no-one else.  This is the legal position, but if circumstances mean that you cannot fulfil the booking, we will try our best to agree an alternative with you.
